HOLISTIC STRETCH THERAPY

Free the Fascia | Restore Balance | Regain the Flow
Stretch therapy is a unique approach to targeting muscles, joints, tendons that feel painful or restricted. Each session focuses on releasing tension in the muscles and connective tissues around the joints and allows your body to become re-acquainted with your mind-muscle connection to unlock stiffness and relive body aches and pains. Your initial assessment will include in depth feedback about your current restrictions and help evaluate your range of motion, flexibility, and any areas of tension or discomfort. Most importantly you will learn how to reduce pain and increase overall mobility, strength and work on corrective exercises to work on any muscular imbalances

NEW TO STRETCH THERAPY?
Your first Stretch Therapy session is a collaborative, movement-based experience designed to improve how your body moves, feels, and performs. At Holistic Mobility, Stretch Therapy goes beyond simple flexibility. This hands-on approach targets the fascial system and the connective tissue that influences posture, mobility, strength, and pain patterns. By assessing how your body moves and where restrictions are held, your practitioner applies assisted stretching, joint mobilization, and neuromuscular techniques to restore optimal range of motion and coordination. Each session includes a movement assessment to identify imbalances, compensations, and areas of tension, followed by targeted, therapist-guided stretches tailored to your body and goals. Stretch Therapy helps improve mobility, reduce chronic tightness, enhance athletic performance, support injury prevention, and improve overall body awareness. Unlike passive stretching or quick mobility drills, this approach works with your nervous system—allowing muscles to relax safely and effectively while creating lasting changes in movement quality. Following your session, your practitioner may recommend complementary therapies such as exercise rehabilitation, mobility training, cupping, massage therapy, or manual osteopathy to support long-term results and help you move with greater ease and resilience.
Who Is Stretch Therapy For?
Stretch therapy may be a good fit if:
-
You train regularly and find that mobility, rather than strength, is what limits you
-
You sit for most of the working day and feel it in your hips, neck or lower back
-
You have plateaued with your own stretching and are not gaining range
-
You are returning to activity after an injury and want to rebuild movement gradually
-
You feel generally stiff without having one specific area of pain
It may be less suitable as a first step if you are in acute pain, or if your main concern is a specific injury. In that case massage therapy or manual osteopathy may serve you better to begin with, and your practitioner will tell you so honestly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be flexible to start?
No. Flexibility is what the work is intended to build, not something you need to bring to it. People who describe themselves as very stiff often notice the clearest change in the first few sessions.

Do I need to get undressed?
No. You remain fully clothed for stretch therapy. Comfortable, flexible clothing such as athletic wear works best.

Is stretch therapy covered by insurance?
This may depend on your plan and on how the session is provided. Some extended health plans cover the work when it is delivered as part of a massage therapy appointment, and others do not cover it separately. Our direct billing guide lists the providers we work with, and you are welcome to ask us to check before your appointment.

How often should I come in?
This may depend on what you are working towards. People addressing a specific restriction often begin more frequently and space appointments out as range improves, while people maintaining mobility alongside training tend to come in less often. Your practitioner will suggest a rhythm after your first session.

Do I need to be a member at Evolve Strength?
No. Our clinic is open to everyone, whether or not you train at the facility.
